No School Friday April 23rd Due to 2nd COVID-19 Shot for Staff

Mosinee School District Community:

Mosinee School District staff will have their second Covid-19 vaccination on Thursday April 22nd.  The Department of Public Instruction listed considerations for school districts hosting COVID-19 clinics stating to consider 1-2 days of planned leave to reduce unexpected absences that may result from short-term side effects from taking the vaccine.

Based on the experience of several other school districts and the above DPI considerations, I’ve decided to cancel school in the Mosinee School District next Friday April 23rd (the day after the 2nd shot in the Mosinee School District’s vaccine clinic) out of an abundance of caution.

Friday April 23rd will be treated like a snow day and will not be a virtual education day.  High school and middle school after school activities and Athletics will continue as scheduled.

I am very thankful to all of our staff for working in-person all year with our students and I’m equally thankful for the community support of the Covid-19 adjustments like No School on Friday April 23rd due to the 2nd shot Covid-19 considerations.

Thank You,

David Muñoz
