Public Release – Mosinee School District Covid-19 Closure
The Mosinee School District will have No School Monday November 22nd and Tuesday November 23rd for All Students followed by the already scheduled Thanksgiving Holiday Break. The Mosinee School District has experienced a recent and sudden spike in Covid-19 cases at the Elementary School and to a lesser extent at the Middle School. The Elementary School will also be closed Thursday 11/18/21 and Friday 11/19/21 due to high Covid numbers. The High School numbers remain low. Sports practices, after school events and games will continue as scheduled. The Marathon County Health Department fully supports this closure to help mitigate further spread of COVID-19 within our schools.
We are hopeful that the extended break of 9 days for the Thanksgiving Holiday will provide time for all to recover, find a vaccine clinic and/or testing site if that is the choice, and to give our dedicated staff a needed break as they continue to work in a difficult and stressful environment.
The Mosinee School District will fully reopen school on Monday November 29th for all students.
